Lalomanu Foundation

The view towards Lalomanu on Upolu, Samoa

Mission

Our overarching goal is improved digital literacy, both in teaching and in learning outcomes. This requires a digital infrastructure at the school, teacher training, and many prerequisites to aid in classroom instruction. Read more about our mission.

Goals

Our immediate goals are to provide basic resources to the students and teachers. It is hard to use a computer without a suitable desk and comfortable class room environment! Read about our yearly goals here.

IMPORTANT NEWS!

We have recently obtained the funding to acquire four new laptops for the school, one for each teacher. Shown here is one of the Acer Go 15 laptops, which runs Windows 11, has a touch screen, and the complete suite of applications from Microsoft Office 2019 Professional. These laptops will be delivered to the school in January 2027 when the Foundation CEO and his spouse visit Samoa again. Note that travel funds do not come from your donations. The outcome of this visit will be featured on this website!

A typical day at the school for the younger students

We would like to thank the Aga Reef Resort for introducing us to the staff of the school and for their support of the community of Lalomanu. We also thank Viiga Tuimaono for taking our donation of a PC screen projector and a portable PA system from Hawai’i to the school. Viiga is now an official Friend of the Lalomanu Foundation.
