Mission
Our mission is to support educational development by strengthening schools, training teachers, and providing students with the tools they need to learn, grow, and contribute to their communities in Sāmoa. Our initial focus and proof-of-concept school is the Lalomanu Primary School.
We will raise funds from public donations to purchase computers, books, desks, and other supplies for the public Lalomanu Primary School in Lalomanu, Upolu, Sāmoa. The goals are to increase computer literacy, critical thinking, and career building skills by creating a stimulating and conducive environment for both students and teachers.
Here, Friend of the Foundation Viiga Fuimaono delivers teaching aids we recently sent to the school. A great example of device to enhance teaching is the PC screen projector shown on the left. The projector can display graphics and text, such as a PowerPoint file, on a classroom wall, thus freeing teachers from the limitations of a chalk board. Lessons can be prepared outside of class, allowing the teacher more time to discuss the key points of the lessons. Lessons can incorporate outside materials, such as charts, photos, animations, and video clips.
