Biographical information for Directors
Debra K Campbell

Retired after 35 years with Raytheon in Australia, Debra Campbell built a diverse career in Human Resources and Finance. She supported hundreds of families in overseas placements, playing a key role in international operations. With a passion for travel and mixed media art, she now enjoys a creative and fulfilling retirement. She is married with three children and five grandchildren who keep life fun and busy.
Richard Murphy
Richard is retired from 45 years of software development, network design, research support, and teaching computer science at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has been involved in education support through the Mary Bancroft and Richard Murphy Computer Science Scholarship, the community non-profit Salsa.net in San Antonio, and mentoring K-12 students. His visit to the Lalomanu Primary School in September was instrumental in the formation of this educational support charity for the school.

Kapeneta Te’O-Tafiti

Kap Te’o-Tafiti hails from the beautiful island nation of Samoa. He attended the Saipīpī Primary School on Savai’i. He traveled to Hawaii to attend Brigham Young University where he received his degree in Fine arts. Kap is well known throughout the world as the Senior Culture Ambassador at the Polynesian Cultural Center, where he educates and entertains millions of people from across the globe. Kap has worked on many projects to promote and perpetuate Pacific Island culture. He was the culture advisor to Dwayne Johnson and others in various films and television shows. Kap enjoys spending time with his family, friends and community and enjoys painting, sculpting, carving, weaving, drumming, rugby, surfing, and martial arts. He owns two art galleries and continues to travel the world sharing pacific island culture.
Johannes Wiig
Johannes Wiig is a senior aerospace and systems engineer with extensive experience across hard and soft technologies. From the Swedish countryside onto a journey across the globe to discover and develop. Novel and extreme sensor technology has shaped his path together with a congenital desire to explore, make friends and exchange ideas.

Tiare Te’O-Tafiti
Tiare is heavily involved in promoting Polynesian culture, traditional Polynesian skills, and assisting local communities. She was born and raised on O’ahu, Hawai’i.
Tuloto Samuelu
Tuloto is the teacher of grades 5 & 6 at the Lalomanu Primary School. She has 13 years of experience and lives with her family in the village of Lalomanu.
Fitivale Solomona
Fitivale is the Principal of the Lalomanu Primary School and the teacher of grades 7 and 8. He has 36 years of teaching experience and also lives nearby in Lalomanu.
Maulalo Ioane
Maulalo is the school inspector for the region of Upolu that includes Lalomanu.
Sharon Rice

Sharon is a retired educator from Fort Worth Texas with many years of experience teaching mathematics and digital literacy. She introduced a number of new programs and methodologies at her school, including:
- Laptop implementation – years ahead of all the “more prestigious local schools”
- In 2007 her school was recognized as a Spotlight School at the Laptop Institute-Memphis and International Award
- Writing responsible use policies and procedures ( for students and faculties)
- Her school became a CommonSense Media certified School
- Got the school involved in the Maker Movement What is this?
- Started the annual Cardboard Challenge at her school in 2014 Background
- Her school was recognized by the LA based Imagination Foundation (in spite of being a private school), which has now evolved into this organization: Formerly Imagination Foundation
- She integrated the technology, focused on cooperative learning, to develop a hands-on program, which has evolved into a curriculum focused on Project Based Learning.
